First Capital Book Club/ Let's Talk About It
The theme is, “Problems with Progress: the Human Place in Ecosystems.” The final book in the theme is Goodbye to a River by John Graves. The notion of progress is often assumed to be inherently positive, but progress can present various challenges and have negative effects for us, individually, and collectively as a society. This theme includes authors who value, and situate, the human place within various ecosystems. Borrow a copy from the front desk.
